My first Chicago wedding of the season really set the standard for the year. Like many couples, Matt and Tori met on a dating app in June 2018. Matt had just moved to Chicago from St. Louis, and Tori had been living in the city for a year after moving from Indianapolis. The first date was at a wine bar in Lincoln Park. On the second date, Matt asked Tori out on a third date while they were walked home. They quickly fell in love and started exploring all that Chicago had to offer, from restaurants and bars to museums and parks.
The relationship became serious because Tori was introduced to Matt’s family over Christmas. Matt and Tori spent the next few years traveling together, going to concerts, and cheering on their favorite sports teams. In December 2021, they bought their first home together in the city. In March 2022, Matt proposed to Tori on a sunny beach in Holland, Michigan.
Matt and Tori spent a year planning their dream Chicago wedding, and on April 7, 2023, their vision came to life at The Walden. The venue was everything they had hoped for, and guests raved about the food, drinks, and atmosphere. “We wanted a romantic, timeless wedding, and we couldn’t have been happier with how it turned out.”
After the wedding, they jetted off to Ocho Rios, Jamaica for the honeymoon. It was an amazing week relaxing on the beach, swimming in the ocean, and exploring the rainforest. It was the perfect way to celebrate their new life together.
Matt and Tori are so grateful for all of the love and support they have received from family and friends. They can’t wait to start a new life together and create so many memories.
