If you grew up in Chicago or any midwestern state, you know winter can be extremely brutal. Think 20 inches of snow like in 2011. A session at the Chicago riverwalk would not have been capable. We have come a long way in the weather category and now see 50-degree days during prime winter time. This type of weather puts most people in an awesome mood.
The city comes alive and tons of people flood the streets to enjoy the warm winter days. This includes my couples that don’t want to deal with the lake effect wind or frostbite on their toes. My couples love being able to frolic around iconic locations for photos in fashionable outfits. I notice that it’s so much easier to be happy and we all can focus better if the weather is bearable.
Shannon and Nick were absolutely amazing during their session. Frolic and twirling in the street? That was an easy choice because most of the streets were eerily empty. If you follow me you may have noticed that I love to include twirls and running toward my camera. These two were genuinely happy and showcased the best smiles while snuggling with each other.
